Even though I have a very accurate home studio (Jensquarters) where I can do most of my mixing, I still go to Diamond Mine when a mix requires a lot of vintage analog processing. Diamond Mine is a private studio in New York shared by owners / producers Leon Michels, Homer Steinweiss, Nick Movshon, and Thomas Brenneck, alongside associate producer Loren Humphrey, producer / engineer / studio manager Lucas Carpenter, and myself. Although I’m not an owner and no longer staff, I helped to build the place in 2013 - 2014 and then helped to run it from 2015 - 2023, during which time I recorded and/or mixed most of the sessions which took place there while also performing most of the maintenance and upgrades. I still return on-call as a freelancer, although this has grown increasingly sporadic.
